Hey there -
It may feel like any another Tuesday, but over at Bloodline Comics, the original literary vampire has been reborn in blood, sex, and magic:
A few years ago, I casually mentioned to David Schrader that the original literary vampire was a lesbian, and I’m pretty sure he didn’t hear anything I said after that.
We immediately started talking about, uh, re-vamping her for a modern day audience. Dave and artist Ismael Canales re-introduced her in the pages of NIGHTMARE THEATER 2, in a short titled “Carmilla Comes Again,” but thanks to a series of delays getting that book from the printer, Carmilla’s big solo launch kept getting delayed.
Anyway, since that first conversation, a few other writers have taken a crack at Carmilla, but I like to think we did it best.
(Or, at least, most recently.)
Seriously, though, I’m very proud of the way this story came out, with Dave, Ismael, colorist Alex Zief, and editor Malissa White all working at the top of their game. (I think I held my own.)
But enough blah blah blah. Last time out, I promised you a look at our murderer’s row of killer cover artists.
So without further ado, here are the SFW versions from…
