When the days get shorter…the nights get colder…and critics put out “Best-Of” lists that are mostly shit you’ve never heard of.
You’ll find no such pretensions here!
When OG Fried co-writer Alexandre O. Philippe and I first started making comics nearly 15 years ago, we had one mantra:
Our comics would have no nutritional value.
(Hence the name: Fried Comics.)
And while we may have snuck in a few vegetables here and there, our mission statement has largely held true, from DEADSKINS!, which successfully launched its 10th anniversary edition earlier this year, to my latest collaboration with Fabio Ramacci, Ilaria Chiocca, and Frank Pittarese, BLOOD OF THE GRUNCH #1.
We aims to entertain.
And not just at Fried.

Over at Bloodline Comics, everyone’s favorite vamp is aiming to slay her 400th backer, and at $24k we’ll be upgrading both our digital and our print editions, courtesy of artist Sketch Aesthetics.

2026? Already?
This year has been a whirlwind.
I did darn near a convention a month and somehow ran a record (for me) six Kickstarters in 2025.
And while I don’t like to toot my own horn, I think the scripts I wrote this year are some of the best of my career, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
Next year will bring more DREAMQUEST, BLAZING BLADE OF FRANKENSTEIN, BLOOD OF THE GRUNCH, CARMILLA…and hopefully one or two surprises.
I’ll have plenty of news on all of those once the calendar flips over, but for now I’m looking forward to the holidays and thinking about the Greatest Story Ever Told:
(Spoiler alert, I guess, for GREMLINS…and uh, Christmas.)
