NYCC Signing + SNOW PAW Crossover Print
Plus: DREAMQUEST update
Hey there! Hope you had a great weekend (and a not-too terrible start to the week).
Like a lot of people in the comics universe, I’ll be headed to NYCC this week, my first time going as a pro.
I teased the reason for the trip last time out, so now it’s time I spilled the beans:
I’m working with writer/producer Don Handfield on a new mini-series for Thunder Comics, and if you don’t know Don, he’s a creative powerhouse:
Don Handfield was the co-creator and Executive Producer of History Channel’s drama series KNIGHTFALL and producer of critically-acclaimed films THE FOUNDER starring Michael Keaton, and KILL THE MESSENGER starring two-time Academy-Award nominated actor Jeremy Renner. Handfield recently scripted an adaptation of the graphic novel UNIKORN for Armory Films (Mudbound, Peanut Butter Falcon) with Debbie Berman (editor of Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and Spider-Man: Homecoming) attached to direct. Handfield is a partner and board member of top-indie comic label Scout Comics and his original comic series THE RIFT was optioned by Steven Spielberg and produced as the season finale for the Apple + reboot of Amazing Stories. Handfield is a fellow of the WGA Showrunner Training Program, the Film Independent’s Director’s Lab, and was named one of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film by Filmmaker Magazine.
Don and I have put together a special ashcan that we’ll be signing this Saturday 10/8 at 12pm ET and 3pm ET at booth 2737.
Not sure how much I can say at this point, other than that it’s a kickass western and that we should have a special guest joining us for the signing…
…but I’ll do a little mini-update once I get to the con with all the details I can spill. (And hopefully some pics of the ashcan.)

DREAMQUEST/SNOW PAW CROSSOVER PRINT
Meanwhile over at the DREAMQUEST campaign, we are fully funded and just dropped some excellent news. From our latest update:
Team DREAMQUEST has joined forces with our friend, Rob Multari of Lone Wolf Comics!
If you've been on Kickstarter a while, you probably know Rob. His main series, NIGHT WOLF, was so successful it's already garnered a spin-off. SNOW PAW is a 19th century Scottish female werewolf fantasy written by Rob with art by Mog Park (lines) and Bruna Costa (colors), and letters by Dave Lentz. Here's the pitch: "Upon discovering her werewolf lineage, a young woman’s eyes are opened to the existence of Supernatural beings & creatures of Fantasy!"
Right now, Rob and I are offering an awesome crossover print featuring Margo battling Snow Paw, for free to everyone who backs both the SNOW PAW and DREAMQUEST Kickstarter campaigns!
The art is by our very own Mick Beyers and Night Wolf colorist Gat Melvyn. Physical tier backers will get a physical copy of the 5x7" print and digital backers will receive a hi-res digital wallpaper version. If you want to get this killer print...
