San Diego Comic-Con ended a week and a half ago, and I’m happy to report that I’m almost recovered.
This year, I handed out a ton of CARMILLA UNBOUND Kickstarter rewards, had a blast at the well-attended Writing for Indie Comics Panel (superstar artist Phil Jimenez even stopped by!) and signed a bunch of books—and even a few Yu-Gi-Oh! cards—at the booth.
(Thanks again to Steven Prince for letting us bogart some table space.)
On top of all that, there were publisher meetings, parties, and great hang time with friends and collaborators past and present.
Sadly, I didn’t win an Eisner, but it was an honor just to be nominated.*
Because I’m lazy/drowning in deadlines, I’ll let the pictures do the talking from here on out. I hear they’re worth a thousand words…
It’s always a blast to reconnect with people I only get face time with once a year. Special shout-out to my Broken Yolk breakfast buds, animator extraordinaire Daniel Kanemoto and Jeff Yorkes, co-creator of DisneyPlus’ Electric Mayhem.
And if I missed bumping into you or didn’t get a photo… let’s try again next year?
- Clay
*Editor’s note: I wasn’t nominated :(
