Any Cobra Kai fans in the house?
For the last year or so, I’ve been talking about the new comic series PRODIGAL SON, which was co-created by Sensei Kreese (aka Martin Kove), and I’m thrilled to announce it's coming exclusively to Kickstarter TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH.
If you haven’t already, show no mercy and…
Subscribers who sign up for the prelaunch page have a chance to win some amazing Cobra Kai merchandise, including a limited edition action figure -- and even have a chance to get a call from the bad Sensei himself.
(More details on that soon.)
PRODIGAL SON is an action-packed story about a twelve-year-old boy who teams up with the meanest outlaw in the Old West to exact revenge on the gang that murdered his family in cold blood. The outlaw has his own reasons for wanting the gang dead, and as they pursue the killers deeper into the desert, the boy must decide who’s the greater threat to his soul—the merciless gang he pursues or the outlaw he rides with?
I’m gonna shut up for a second and let Sensei himself tell you more about it:
From the press release:
This is part one of a four issue series from the mind of Martin Kove (Cobra Kai’s Sensei Kreese) and written by Don Handfield and Clay Adams. Handfield is the author of the hit comic series The Dark Age, The Source and The Rift. He is also co-creator and EP of History Channel’s Knightfall, and producer of The Founder, staring Michael Keaton. Actor-writer Clay Adams is a voice talent behind animated series TMNT, Yu-Gi-Oh! and writer of Scout Comics’ Red X-Mas. Producer Chris LeMole (Mudbound, Peanut Butter Falcon) also shares story credit.
The comic is coming from Thunder Comics and will launch with a variety of variant covers by top artists, signed Cobra Kai headshots and opportunities for backers to have their likeness featured in the book. For one lucky fan, there will even be a chance to break bread with the Sensei himself.
This has been a long time coming, and I’m thrilled to finally get this into your hands. So if you haven’t already…
See you on the frontier!
