The Force was with us
In case you don't believe we live in a simulation...
Hope you had a great weekend relaxing, barbecuing, and loving/hating Obi-Wan.
Last night I met up with BLAZING BLADE OF FRANKENSTEIN editor James Powell—in town for a few days—for a Memorial Day cookout.
James hails from the Denver area, a town I’ve visited precisely twice.
The first was in 2005 when I played the villain in a movie called The Shadow Walkers, which was put together by my FRIED Comics co-creator Alexandre O. Philippe.
(Incidentally, that was the trip where we came up with DEADSKINS!, which later became our very first FRIED Comic.)
My second trip to Denver popped up in my Facebook memories this morning:
That top-secret project was FRIED Comics, and we previewed both DEADSKINS! and PREGNANT BITCHES OF WAR in front of a Star Wars-crazy crowd that included Peter Mayhew, the actor better known as “Chewbacca.”
See, Alexandre was still riding high on the success of The People vs. George Lucas, and the con had asked him to moderate a conversation with the most famous of all Wookies. They graciously allowed us to unveil FRIED Comics immediately following that panel.
Hard to believe it’s been 9 years. Somehow it feels both longer and shorter.
But as I stared at my phone this morning, I couldn’t help but be struck by the weird echoes ringing out through the years:
The Number 9
Denver
Star Wars
9 Years ago, we unveiled PBOW in Denver following a Star Wars event.
Now we have 9 days left in the latest campaign for PBOW, the night after I entertained a friend from Denver on the same weekend the latest Star Wars installment premiered.
The simulation has revealed itself!
And because the simulation likes things to happen in threes, let’s work another 9 in there:
Can we get another 9 backers today as our anniversary present?
We just started unlocking our digital bonuses for backers, and we would love to have you join us. Let’s get this baby funded!
That’s all for now. Gotta go eat some anniversary cake because the simulation demands it...

P.S. I’ll be chatting with Pat Shand this Friday at 3pm Eastern about PBOW and all things Fried. I guarantee the chat will be as interesting as this photo:
